Follow these simple rules to ensure you get the maximum burn time and best fragrance results from your glass jar scented candles:
Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to approximately 6mm (1/4").
To maximise the burn time of your candle, ensure that the top of your candle is fully liquified before you put your candle out, this helps ensure that the candle does not 'tunnel'. 'Tunnelling' may greatly reduce the burn time of your candles.
Whilst burning, if the wick develops a mushroom top, extinguish the candle and allow it to cool before using a pair of wick trimmers to remove the top of the wick and relight.
To prevent the glass jar from cracking from the heat of the flame, extinguish the candle and do not use when less than 6mm or 1/4" of wax remains in the bottom of the jar.
Ensure you always allow the candle to fully cool before handling, the glass jar may become hot during use and remain hot for some time after the candle is extinguished.
Your candles will not burn evenly if placed in a draft.
